While planning our first vacation after our world trip, we discussed the different criteria how our destination should look like. Well quickly we decided on summer and sun, the only combination which guaranties a maximal outdoor experience. There is nothing better than being close to nature. Australia and Africa were our favorites – as it is warm enough to stay outside even in the evenings. However, for two weeks Australia is too long distance, so we decided on Africa. South Africa offers exciting safaris as well as relaxed outdoor atmosphere combined with beautiful nature so it was a deal to go there. Most of the life there happens outside so that almost all our places had an outdoor kitchen. They are only basic kitchens: fridge, 2 hotplates, cutlery, dishes, some pots and a Braii (grill). Thus we could enjoy the outdoor feeling on safari, while we were running & hiking, on our lazy reading afternoons and every night when we did our Braii. So there is no way to get more outdoor experience.
